CORE VALUES WITH SCRIPTURES

 

Belonging: We cultivate healthy community for singles.

 

• 1 John 1:7  NLT If we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

• Proverbs 27:17 NLT  As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

• Matthew 18:20 NLT  Where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.

Experiences: We provide meaningful and fun social activities for singles.

 

• Psalm 118:24  NLT This is the day the Lord has made.   We will rejoice and be glad in it.

• Ecclesiastes 8:15  NLT So I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.

• 1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT  So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Jesus: We encourage singles on their journey of faith. 

 

• Colossians 2:6-7  NLT And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.  Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

• Romans 1:12 NLT  When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.

• 2 Peter 3:17-18  NLT So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing.  Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

• Colossians 1:9-12  NLT We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father.

Partnership: We collaborate with churches and welcome their singles. 

 

• 1 Peter 4:10  NLT God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

• 3 John 1:8  NLT So we ourselves should support them so that we can be their partners as they teach the truth.

• John 17:21  NLT I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

• Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT  Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.  This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
